How do I know if my roof has storm damage?
Signs include missing or creased shingles, dented metal or vents, granules in your gutters, leaks or ceiling stains. Many problems can’t be seen from the ground, so a free inspection with photos is the safest way to know.
Should I call my insurance company or a roofer first?
It’s often best to have the roof inspected first so you know whether there is damage worth claiming. We document what we find with photos, and if you file, we work alongside your adjuster.
What does FORTIFIED mean?
FORTIFIED Roof™ is a construction standard from the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) designed to help roofs resist high winds and water intrusion. Homes that earn the designation can qualify for insurance discounts in Alabama.
Are you FORTIFIED certified?
Yes. ARC Roofing is a FORTIFIED™ certified roofer, so we can install roofs to the FORTIFIED Roof standard.
Can I get a grant for a new roof?
Eligible Alabama homeowners can apply for Strengthen Alabama Homes grants toward a FORTIFIED Roof. Funding is limited and awarded through the state’s application process.
Should I repair or replace my roof?
It depends on the roof’s age, the extent of damage and how many problems there are. After inspecting it, we explain both options honestly and give you a written estimate.
Do you work on metal and commercial roofs?

What if water got inside my home?
We handle water damage and interior restoration, so you don’t need a separate contractor to fix ceilings and walls after a leak.
