Roof Replacement in Mobile & Baldwin County

Need a new roof? ARC Roofing replaces shingle and metal roofs across Mobile and Baldwin County, including FORTIFIED roofs built to the IBHS high-wind standard. Every replacement starts with a free inspection and a written estimate.

When Is It Time to Replace Your Roof?

Short answer: replace your roof when damage is widespread, leaks keep coming back, or the roof is near the end of its life. Repairs make sense for isolated problems; replacement makes sense when the whole system is failing.

Common signs include curling, cracked or missing shingles across several slopes, granules piling up in gutters, soft or sagging decking, daylight or water stains in the attic, and repeated leaks after repairs. On the Gulf Coast, heat, humidity and storms wear roofs out faster, so an honest inspection is the best way to know.

Shingle, Metal or FORTIFIED?

Architectural shingles are the most popular choice for value and color options. Standing seam and exposed-fastener metal last longer and handle wind and heavy rain well. Either can be installed as a FORTIFIED roof, which adds a sealed roof deck, upgraded nailing and stronger edges, and may qualify you for a discount on the wind portion of your homeowners insurance in Alabama.

What a Replacement Includes

How Long Does a Roof Replacement Take?

Most full replacements on a typical home take one to three days once work begins, depending on the size of the roof, the material, how much decking needs replacing and the weather. We give you a schedule up front and keep you updated if rain moves the plan.

Roof Replacement FAQs

Cost depends on the size and pitch of your roof, the material you choose, how much decking needs replacing and whether you upgrade to FORTIFIED. After a free inspection we give you a written estimate with clear options.

We recommend a full tear-off. Removing the old layers lets us inspect and repair the deck, install proper underlayment and flashing, and it is required for a FORTIFIED roof.

If your roof was damaged by a covered event like wind or hail, your policy may cover some or all of the replacement. We document the damage and can meet your adjuster. What is covered is decided by your insurance company and your policy.

Not necessarily. We will walk through the plan with you before we start and review the finished roof with you at the end. Pets should be kept indoors and vehicles moved away from the house.
