Roof Insurance Claim Help

A storm damaged your roof and now you are dealing with an insurance claim. ARC Roofing documents the damage thoroughly and works alongside your adjuster, so the claim reflects everything the storm actually did.

How We Help With Your Claim

Short answer: we give you and your insurance company clear evidence of the damage and an accurate scope of the repairs, and we can be there when the adjuster inspects.

We are roofers, not public adjusters or attorneys. Your claim and any settlement are between you and your insurance company. Our job is to make sure the damage is found, documented and repaired correctly.

How a Roof Claim Usually Works

  1. Report the claim to your insurance company and get a claim number.
  2. Prevent further damage, such as tarping an active leak. Keep receipts.
  3. Get an inspection so you know the full extent of the damage.
  4. Adjuster inspection. The insurance adjuster inspects and writes up an estimate.
  5. Review the estimate against the damage. If items were missed, ask your insurer how to request a re-inspection or supplement.
  6. Repairs are completed and final documentation is provided.

If you are replacing your roof, ask about a FORTIFIED roof, which may qualify you for a discount on the wind portion of your premium in Alabama.

Insurance Claim FAQs

No. We are roofing contractors, not public adjusters. We document the damage, provide a scope of repairs and can meet your adjuster, but your claim is between you and your insurer.

Ask your insurance company how to request a re-inspection or submit a supplement. Our photos and written scope can help show what was missed.

In most cases you can choose your own licensed contractor. Check your policy or ask your insurer if you are unsure.

That depends on your insurance company and policy. Ask your agent before you file if you are concerned.
